Ambassador Geeta Pasi to deliver lecture on November 13
Ambassador Geeta Pasi (retired), Inaugural Donald F. McHenry Visiting Professor in Diplomacy and International Affairs, will deliver a lecture, “Representing America Abroad: Telling our story, advancing American interests, and serving Americans,” at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 13 in the Circus Room in the Bone Student Center. Her talk is free and open to the public.

From 1:00 to 2:30pm, on Tuesday, November 7th, the Illinois State University Department of Politics and Government held a panel on “The Israel-Palestine Conflict: The History and the Trajectory”, moderated by ISU student Allison Henrichsmeyer, with expert Illinois State University panelists Dr. Ali Riaz, a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Politics and Government, Dr. Reecia Orzeck, an Associate Professor of Geography, and Dr. Camille Cole, an Assistant Professor of History.

Department of Politics and Government students plan and host model U.N. simulations for area high school students
Under the mentorship of Dr. Noha Shawki, and in collaboration with several high school teachers in Bloomington-Normal, four political science majors and members of the 2023 ISU Model United Nations (Model UN) team helped coordinate and run two Model UN simulations for students from several high schools in the Bloomington-Normal area in fall semester 2023.
