The Peace Corps seeks applicants to fill hundreds of requests for volunteers in programs worldwide to begin service in spring and summer 2020. On Sept.17, Peace Corps recruiters will hold more than 70 application workshops nationwide.
The Stevenson Center’s newest Peace Corps Fellows are arriving on campus. These students will pursue master’s degrees in anthropology, applied economics, kinesiology and recreation, political science, or sociology, with an emphasis on community and economic development. Two of the incoming Peace Corps Fellows bring unique experiences to Illinois State.

Peace Corps volunteers serve communities worldwide in six different sectors, or kinds of jobs. The largest sector is education, which has given Illinois State graduates Max Plonczynski and Alejandra Villalobos the perfect setting to put their teaching skills to the test.

Offering interdisciplinary, applied master’s programs for Peace Corps Fellows and Applied Community and Economic Development Fellows, the Stevenson Center prepares students for successful careers in community and economic development.
