Students in kindergarten through 8th grade can explore the visual arts through Illinois State University’s Saturday Creative Arts classes, which run Sept. 10 – Oct. 8. Students will work with a variety of art materials and processes and learn about art and artists from various cultures.

Classes will meet on Saturday mornings from 9 – 10:50 a.m. in Illinois State’s Center for the Visual Arts. During the last session on Oct. 8, parents and friends are invited to observe and participate. Artwork created by the children throughout the program will be on display.

The Saturday Creative Arts classes are sponsored by Illinois State University, the College of Fine Arts and the School of Art. Cost for the first child is $60 and each additional child from the same family is $55. Registration deadline is Sept. 6.
