Steven Peters and Marjorie Jones, CHE, published “A Biochemical Mini Research Project for the Characterization, Using Spectroscopy, Chromatography, and Cyclic Voltammetry, of Vitamin E Extracted from Foods,” in the The Chemical Educator. Peters, also co-authored “Tris-annulenyl Isocyanurate Trianion Triradical and Hexa-anion from the Alkali Metal Reduction of Annulenyl Isocyanate” for the Journal of Organic Chemistry.
Two members of the Department of Chemistry faculty presented at the 227th meeting of The Electrochemical Society (ECS) in Chicago. Eirin C. Sullivan presented “Investigation of Na3W1-xMoxO4F and Na2W1-xMoxO4 as Novel Phosphor Materials,” and Timothy Lash presented “Out of the Blue! Azuliporphyrins and Related Azulene-Containing Porphyrinoids.”
Roger Anderson, BIO emeritus, presented “Effects of Eleven Year (2004-2014) Garlic Mustard (Alliaria petiolata) Removal on Native Vegetation” at the Ecological Society of America 100th Annual Meeting in Baltimore, Md.
