As part of an effort to generate community-wide discussion on healthcare advance planning and end-of-life decision-making, Illinois State University has partnered with several healthcare organizations to host an event on Tuesday, October 6. The event will be from 4:30-8 p.m. in the Alumni Center and is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
The talk is titled “Beginning the Conversation: Learning to Talk about a Taboo Subject.” Participants will gain hands-on experiences and skills that will make it easier to have conversations with their friends and loved ones about wishes for their care.
This skills-based workshop will include dinner. Register by calling 1-800-323-8622 or go to https://healthadvisor.advocatehealth.com. Select Advocate Health Care Class/Event Registration and enter 6S20 in the Class Code field to register.
