Understanding how to develop intellectual property will be the topic of workshops from Research and Sponsored Programs (RSP).
“Leveraging Intellectual Property to Enhance Research Support” will be Tuesday, April 11, in Hovey Hall, room 102. Participants can choose between one of three, hour-long sessions at 9:30 a.m., noon, or 2 p.m. The campus community is invited to attend.
Intellectual property can be anything developed by faculty and staff that has the potential of being marketed or sold. The workshops will discuss patents, trademarks, and other forms of establishing intellectual property on campus.
The workshops will be led by Cory Abernathy of RSP, and representatives from the University of Illinois’s Office of Technology Management.
