G. Logan Miller, ANT, co-authored “Description and microwear analysis of Clovis artifacts on a glacially-deposited secondary chert source near the Hartley Mastodon discovery, Columbiana County, Northeastern Ohio, U.S.A.” for the Journal of Archaeological Science: Reports.

Jeffrey Barrett and Craig Cullen, MAT, were part of a group that presented “New Research Integrating Measurement and Multiplication in Middle Grades” at the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics 2017 Research Conference in San Antonio, Texas.

Scott Jordan and Eric Wesselmann, PSY, contributed a chapter to the new book, Wonder Woman Psychology: Lassoing the Truth.

Kass Fleisher, ENG, was the co-editor for Resist Much/Obey Little: Inaugural Poems for the Resistance, for which she also wrote the poem “Doxology.” Fleisher also wrote the poem “Afterwards” for Dispatches from the Poetry Wars.

Katherine Ellison, ENG, wrote “Media Scholarship and 18th-Century Studies” for Literature Compass.

Presentations and Performances
Michael L. Dougherty, SOC, gave an invited presentation entitled, “Vulnerabilities to Corruption in the Mining Industry: Firm Size and Environmental Governance” as part of the Workshop on Canada’s Past and Future in the Americas held at Carleton University, Ottawa, Ontario.

Kate Lewis, MUS, gave a presentation on multi-level viola trios at the recent American String Teachers Association national conference in Pittsburgh. The presentation was the conclusion of a five-year project to catalogue, grade, and annotate all viola ensemble music housed on the American Viola Society website.

David Collier, MUS, served as percussion coordinator for the Honor Band of America at the Music for All National Festival in Indianapolis. He joined Tuyen Tonnu, MUS, and others in a recital at Millikin University, at which they performed the Bartok “Sonata for two pianos and percussion.” Collier also performed as timpanist with the Illinois Chamber Orchestra.
