Summer will be here soon and so will warm weather, cookouts, and baseball! Get all three at this event. The Illinois State University Alumni Association, Department of Agriculture, and Office of the Provost/Summer Session invite all alumni, family, and friends to a CornBelters baseball game on June 15. Join fellow alumni, friends, faculty, students, Reggie Redbird, and Corny for fun and socializing.
Pregame cookout
When: 4:30–6 p.m. Thursday, June 15
Where: Illinois State’s Horticulture Center, Raab Road in Normal
Enjoy the pregame cookout at the Horticulture Center located directly across from the Corn Crib. The event fee of $5 includes a burger/hot dog/veggie burger/brat, chips, cookies, an ice cream, and a drink. A cash bar will also be available.
CornBelters game
When: 6:35 p.m. Thursday, June 15
Where: Corn Crib, 1000 West Raab Road in Normal
The CornBelters will take on the Joliet Slammers at the Corn Crib. Game tickets are $10 per person. The first pitch will be thrown by Vice President for Student Affairs Levester “LJ” Johnson and Interim Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Jan Murphy.
Registration for pregame cookout will close June 13. Registration for game tickets will close June 8. Register online or by calling Alumni Relations at (309) 438-2586. For game tickets after 4:30 p.m. on June 8, please call Jacob Godwin at the Cornbelters at (309) 451-3433 and ask to be seated in the Illinois State alumni section. Tickets purchased after June 8 can be picked up from the Corn Crib will call window the night of the game.
