University Club: Milner’s new circus collection items, February 2

Associate Professor Maureen Brunsdale and Senior Library Specialist Mark Schmidt of ISU Special Collections in Milner Library will present a talk titled “An Avalanche of Awesome: The Newly Acquired Circus Collection in Special Collections” at 4:30 p.m. Friday, February 2, for the University Club in the Founders Suite of the Bone Student Center.

The presentation will feature the new Circus and Allied Arts Collection in Milner Library’s Special Collections. Circus enthusiast Herbert Ueckert has donated a collection of nearly 250,000 items. The new collection includes photographs, documents, correspondence, posters, catalogs, route books, programs, scrapbooks, wardrobe, and all manner of ephemera.

All faculty, staff, annuitants, and guests are welcome to attend University Club, which runs from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Continued program support is provided by the Office of the Provost and the Office of the President. Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
