Wang interviewed about Chinese Communist campus activities
Professor of Politics and Government T.Y. Wang was interviewed and quoted in World Journal on the Chinese Communist Party’s activities in the United States. Reports have shown that the CCP is setting up party branches at universities across America, including Illinois.
Wang notes that this reflects an increasingly powerful and assertive China that is expanding its global influence. It also shows that the Beijing government under Chinese President Xi Jinping attempts to prevent Chinese students and scholars from being “contaminated” by Western liberal ideology. Wang suggests that university administrations take measures to provide all students with a free and safe learning environment without any political inference.
