Organizers are looking for proposals for the Fall 2019 Culturally Responsive Campus Community (CRCC) Conference: Building Solidarity Across Movements. The conference will be November 18-19 at Illinois State University’s Bone Student Center.
Submissions are due by September 23 for faculty, staff, community members, and students. Proposals can be submitted here. Applicants will be notified of acceptance in mid-October.
CRCC committee members are seeking proposals on a wide range of topics, including intersectionality surrounding marginalization and oppression with reference to race, LGBTQ issues, religion, ability, ageism, sexism, and national orientation. This year’s theme seeks to build bridges across social justice movements through dialogue.
The CRCC aims to enlighten, educate, and ignite conversation around creating a more equitable and just campus environment for all. More information about the conference can be found on the CRCC website. For information on proposals, contact CRCC@ilstu.edu.
