Honorary degree nominations open, due September 15

Illinois State University is requesting nominations for candidates for the Honorary Degree to be awarded at Founders Day 2020. Honorary degrees may be awarded by Illinois State University in recognition of persons who have achieved a record of major distinction at the state or national level in education, public service, literature, business, fine arts, or other professions.

Nominations may be submitted by any member of the University community, including faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Nominations may also be submitted by the general public.

Letters of nomination should be addressed to the Associate Vice President for Graduate Studies at Illinois State University. This letter and supporting materials, including vitae and/or related information, should be sent to Judy Keenan (, Provost Office, Campus Box 4000, Normal, IL 61790-4000. Nominations are due by September 15, 2019.
