Faculty and staff are invited to an informational lunch for university employees interested in exploring the Multicultural Leadership Program (MCLP).
The Office of the Provost is sponsoring the “lunch and learn” session at noon, Thursday, February 27, in Hovey Hall, room 105. Registration is required.
MCLP provides a nine-month leadership development program each year. The aim of the program is to develop servant-leadership skills, growing self-aware leaders who work to develop authentic relationships and foster diverse and inclusive perspectives.
“MCLP’s mission—to develop leaders who engage the power of diverse perspectives to improve our world—fits well with many aspects of our University’s strategic plan,” said Associate Provost Ani Yazedjian, mentioning the core values of Educate Connect Elevate: Illinois State – The Strategic Plan for Illinois’ First Public University 2018-2023.
The University will sponsor a limited number of employees for the 2021 class of MCLP, which will begin in July of 2020. More information about the program can be found on the MCLP website.
Those who are unable to attend the lunch, but are interested in MCLP or have any questions, contact Jean Ann Dargatz at jadarga@ilstu.edu or (309) 438-2915.
