Ali Riaz, POL, has been named a Nonresident Senior Fellow at the Washington, D.C.-based Atlantic Council. He will be affiliated with the South Asia Center of the Council. The Atlantic Council is ranked in the top 10 in the U.S. in foreign policy and international affairs, and in the top 10 in global think tanks for defense and national security.
Suh Kyoungwon, IT, presented “Enhanced Android Malware Detection: An SVM-based Machine Learning Approach” at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers BigComp 2020, and also presented “Delay-Conscious Defense Against Fingerprinting Attacks” at the International Academy, Research, and Industry Association’s International Conference on Network (ICN) 2020.
Georgia Tsouvala, HIS, gave an invited lecture titled “Before Title IX: Ancient Athletics and Women’s Participation” at the DuPage County Social Studies Conference in February.
Mary Henninger, KNR, published “Transitioning from Students of Teaching to Teachers of Students: Developing Professional Dispositions (Part I)” in the Journal of Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
Mike Rossler, CJS, published “Student perceptions of employer use of social media in selection decisions: Comparing criminal justice majors to non-majors” in the Journal of Criminal Justice Education.
T.Y. Wang, POL, co-authored “How Taiwan Has Dealt with the Coronavirus Pandemic: Lessons for the United States,” in Taiwan Insight, the online magazine of the Taiwan Studies Programme of the University of Nottingham.
