Redbirds Together Wellness Ambassadors: Illinois State’s health and well-being role models
The Redbirds Together Wellness Ambassadors are a group of students dedicated to providing peer-to-peer education, reminders, and encouragement to their fellow Redbirds about how to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). Some of these prevention methods, like physical distancing and the wearing of face coverings, are as important as ever now that many students have returned to campus.
The Redbirds Together Wellness Ambassadors will function similarly to the Student Wellness Ambassador Team (SWAT) and training will be provided for interested students. Additionally, students who complete training will be given a unique #RedbirdsTogether t-shirt and face covering. These ambassadors will be seen around campus encouraging and motivating students to follow the University’s health and safety guidelines.
The wellness ambassadors will not be enforcing the rules; rather they will act as role models on campus as well as vocal supporters of those who are already following the established health and safety guidelines. Together we can protect ourselves and our community.
