Attorney Radiance Ward, an assistant public defender for Cook County, will give a talk on her journey to the practice of law and to her current position in the Felony Trial DivisionĀ at 5 p.m. October 29 via Zoom. This event is hosted by Dr. Miltonette Craig from the Department of Criminal Justice Sciences.

Ward currently represents clients in all felony matters, and has litigated several matters, serving as a first chair attorney in motion hearings, bench trials, and jury trials. Additionally, she serves as a coach for the Corboy Fellowship Program and an adjunct professor in trial advocacy at Loyola University Chicago School of Law, and is a faculty member for the Office of the State Appellate Defender. Ward earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago in 2007, her Bachelor of Arts from Vanderbilt University in 2004, and is a 2000 graduate of The Kenwood Academy. She is admitted to the Illinois Bar and is a proud Chicagoan.
