A virtual tour of the public art in the cultural and commercial district in Chicago, known as Paseo Boricua, will be from 4-5:30 p.m. Thursday, October 8, with tour guide Eduardo Arocho. Born and raised in Humboldt Park, Arocho has over 26 years of experience leading tours of Chicago’s Puerto Rican community.
The event is part of the celebration of Latinx Heritage Month. The University’s Latin American and Latino/a Studies (LALS) program marks Latinx Heritage Month as a moment to educate ourselves about struggles that Latino families in the Americas may be going through in the midst of a world pandemic.
