Discussion of cult films set for September 30

Greg Sestero, author of "The Disaster Artist," is the special guest for a discussion on cult films on September 30, 2022.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show. Reefer Madness. The Room. These cult films, and others like them, often draw devoted crowds who stand in line outside theaters late at night even though many have seen the films more times than they can recall.

Drs. Eric Wesselmann and Scott Jordan of Illinois State’s Department of Psychology will be joined by special guest actor/writer/director Greg Sestero (The Room, The Disaster Artist) for a discussion of cult films—the good, the bad, and the fans who love them.

The event is Friday, September 30, 2022, from 3:30–4:30 p.m. in DeGarmo Hall 206. It is sponsored by the Harold K. Sage Foundation and the Illinois State University Foundation.
