The Univrsity Research Symposium will take place on April 14, 2023, in the Brown Ballroom and Circus Room of the Bone Student Center.
Registration is open to all students enrolled at the University in the spring semester and engaged in scholarship, research, or creative activity under the direction of a faculty mentor. Individual as well as group projects are welcome from both graduate and undergraduate students. It’s a great way to hone your interpersonal skills, gain exposure for your project, and meet other students! Participation can also be added to your resumé.
Online registration is now open and will remain open until noon, February 17, 2023.
A faculty mentor approved abstract is required at the time of registration. There will be two poster sessions with a mix of graduate and undergraduate students in each. The morning session will run from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. and the afternoon session from 1-3 p.m. An e-poster option is also available for students who are not on campus. These can be viewed on monitors in the Circus Room from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Some disciplines may host their own oral events. Please contact faculty mentors regarding such an event taking place in the department/school.
The Graduate School sponsors this event. For more information see the 2023 Symposium Guidelines. Please feel free to contact the Graduate School at (309) 438-2583 or Symposium staff at symposium@IllinoisState.edu.
