In collaboration with the Office of the Provost, the Multicultural Leadership Institute (MCLI) will host a Multicultural Leadership Program (MCLP) “Lunch and Learn” Information Session at noon on Thursday, March 9 in Stevenson 401A. All interested ISU faculty and staff are encouraged to attend. Registration is required.
The Institute’s signature program, MCLP, is an intensive nine-month leadership development course. Firmly rooted in equity and based on Servant Leadership principles, MCLP is a transformative experience that challenges its participants to become more self-aware, grow as a leader, develop new skills, and serve their community. Cecilia Ruffin, Executive Director, MCLI, encourages attendance for those wanting to make a difference, “servant leaders see obstacles as opportunities to learn, serve and grow.”
Since 2009, MCLP has partnered with almost 60 local nonprofits on capacity building projects, and empowered over 300 alumni leaders, many of whom are Redbirds. The University will sponsor a limited number of employees for MCLP Class of 2024 which will begin in July 2023.
Those who cannot attend the session, but are interested in MCLP or have any questions, may contact Jean Ann Dargatz at jadarga@ilstu.edu or (309) 438-2915. To learn more about the Multicultural Leadership Institute and MCLP, please visit their website at www.bn-mclp.org.
