In addition to providing recreational opportunities to students, Campus Recreation also has an abundance of offerings for Illinois State University faculty and staff.

Student Fitness Center memberships are available to purchase for all faculty, staff, annuitants, and retirees, as well as their household members. First-time faculty and staff members receive a free one-month trial membership.

There are no startup or cancellation fees associated with a Student Fitness Center membership. Employees can have their membership fees assessed via payroll deduction by completing the necessary paperwork at the time of purchase.

Student Fitness Center members can participate in any of the 30-plus group fitness classes offered every week at no additional cost. Classes offer a combination of cardiovascular, mind-body, and strength components and run daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. to provide options for all schedules. Mid-day class offerings are a great way for faculty and staff members to use their Wellness Participation time.

Another opportunity for faculty and staff to use their Wellness Participation time at the Student Fitness Center is by signing up for Noonball—games of faculty/staff-only pickup basketball, every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from noon until 2 p.m. For those with a membership, Noonball is available at no additional cost. Non-members can purchase a Noonball Membership for $40 per semester.

The Student Fitness Center also has a one-eighth mile indoor track, a four-lane pool, a 47-foot climbing wall, and a bouldering cave, and over 22,000 square feet of cardio and weight training space. Faculty and staff have a separate locker room within the Student Fitness Center.
