Illinois State University Professor of Psychology Dawn McBride details her work and research in human memory in this episode of Redbird Buzz. Dr. McBride came to Illinois State 25 years ago and, during her tenure on campus, has been credited with dozens of publications and has mentored students in her Human Memory Lab.

In this episode, McBride discusses how memory is a learned and developed skillset and the four main areas of memory she focuses on in her lab: false memory, prospective memory, task order decisions, and facial recognition. She also lays out tips for improving memory, how technology can affect memory, and how her research will have real-life applications, especially for aging populations.
