Members of the Illinois State University community will have a chance to meet the finalists for the position of chief equity and inclusion officer during public forums.  

Brief finalist bios are provided below. Full candidate CVs can be found online.

Forums will be held from 11 a.m. to noon, in the Bone Student Center Old Main Room, on the following days: 

  • Tuesday, September 19 — Stancia Whitcomb Jenkins earned a master of public affairs and government relations from Park University and currently serves as the chief diversity and inclusion officer for the University of Nebraska System. 
  • Monday, September 25 — Tamba-Kuii Bailey earned a Ph.D. in counseling psychology from Georgia State University and currently serves as the special assistant to the president for diversity and inclusion at the University of North Dakota. 
  • Tuesday, September 26 — Dakesa Piña earned a Ph.D. in marriage and family therapy from Texas Tech University and currently serves as the vice president of diversity, equity, and inclusion at Illinois Wesleyan University.
