The Extending Empathy Project (TEEP) and the American Democracy Project (ADP) will collaborate for the 2023-2024 academic year on a national-level colloquium for the more than 250 colleges and universities associated with the ADP. The virtual series, “Trust 101: Who to Let in, Who to Keep Out,” is free and open to the public. Registration is required.
Since its inception in fall of 2018, TEEP has provided 30 interdisciplinary colloquia, free-of-charge, to faculty, students, and staff at Illinois State University. These colloquia explore the psychological, cultural, and historical roots of empathy and the difficulties people encounter as they work to manage it in the day-to-day midst of these oft-conflicting forces.
