A living-learning community formed more than 50 years ago, International House provides a home for Illinois State University students committed to global education. Initially located in Watterson Towers, the dedicated space has moved around campus—it currently occupies two floors in Manchester Hall—but the concept of the International House has come to encompass the international student community at Illinois State. The mission of I-House has remained consistent: fostering friendships and understanding among students from diverse backgrounds and cultures, offering opportunities to experience American life and other cultures, and helping students fulfill their personal and academic goals.
