Graduate Council is seeking nominations or self-nominations of full graduate faculty members to fill openings on four of its committees:

Membership & Student Development Committee: (2 seats available) – one seat open from the College of Education and one from the College of Applied Science and Technology.

Graduate Curriculum Committee: (2 seats available) – one seat open from the Mennonite College of Nursing and one from the College of Education.

Research and Creative Activity Committee: (2 seats available) – one seat open from the College of Arts and Sciences and one from the College of Applied Science and Technology.

Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee: This is a new committee. (7 seats available) – one seat open from the College of Arts and Sciences, College of Applied Science and Technology, College of Business, College of Education, College of Fine Arts, Mennonite College of Nursing, and Milner Library.

Those elected will serve a three-year term August 2024 – April 2027. 

Submit nominations to Kim Shennett, keshenne@ilstu.edu, by 4:30 p.m. on February 16, 2024.  Before making a nomination, please confirm with the nominee, they are willing to stand for election and can attend the meetings (generally the last Wednesday of the month, 2-3 p.m.). The slate of candidates will appear on the March ballot.

Note that one year must lapse between the expiration of an elected Graduate Council member’s term and a new nomination.
