Due to forecasted weather conditions Tuesday morning, January 23, 2024, the University will open at noon, rather than 7 a.m. as previously indicated. This continued closure will provide extended time for crews to safely clear roads and campus grounds.

  • All classes (in-person, hybrid, and online) that begin before noon are canceled and will not be delivered remotely; all assignments and exams in these classes should be rescheduled for a future date.
  • The Laboratory Schools will be closed all day with no after-school events taking place.
  • Residence halls and the ISU Police Department will remain open, and residential dining centers will remain open on Monday, January 22, as planned and will reopen at 9 a.m. Tuesday, January 23.  All other campus buildings will open at noon Tuesday, January 23.

Staff and Resource Planning

  • Weather essential personnel in all departments other than Event Management, Dining and Hospitality should report to work at the start of their scheduled shift.

All other weather essential personnel in EMDH should report to work as scheduled.
  • All other employees, regardless of their current work location (on-campus or remote), should report to work at noon.
