A graduate assistant at the Center for Integrated Professional Development, Hye Hyon Kim, will present at AsiaConnect’s upcoming cultural presentation on Friday, March 29, from noon-1 p.m. at DeGarmo Hall, room 551. Kim’s presentation is titled “Remembering and Reclaiming the History with Korean New Millennium Workout,” which highlights the evolution of school morning assemblies in South Korea, tracing back to a new workout developed by the Korean Institution of Sports Science in 1999, and replaced a routine influenced by Japanese colonial history with one rooted in Korean traditions like martial arts and traditional dance.
