It is the time of the year when Illinois State students, faculty, and staff can vote on the 2024 Fear the Bird shirt design. Voting begins on March 20 and will close at the end of the day on March 27, .
The four designs were created by Event Management, Dining, and Hospitality (EMDH) graphic design interns, Natalie Garneau and Jenna Swingler. Garneau is a junior graphic design and painting double major. She participates in the yearly Student Annual show at University Galleries and currently works for a local company designing websites for businesses across central Illinois. She enjoys supporting the local community where she grew up and volunteers with the Tri-Valley cross-country team and other community events.
Swingler is a junior graphic design major with a minor in technology, focused in graphic communications technology. She enjoys staying active on campus as a member of the Honors Program and in her sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta, by leading various group volunteer events. Additionally, she is a student representative for the College Council in the Wonsook Kim School of Art. Both students will be returning as EMDH graphic design interns next fall.
The chosen design will be available for purchase this summer at the Redbird Spirit Shop in the Bone Student Center and on North Street. Wear your Bird Shirt on Fridays throughout the school year to get free items and discounts at the Bone Student Center.
