Event Management, Dining, and Hospitality (EMDH) offers a variety of dining options on campus this summer, whether visiting our dining centers or the Bone Student Center retail venues.
Residential Dining Centers
Watterson Dining Commons (WDC) offers an all-you-care-to-eat style with different venues to choose from, including an allergen-friendly station. WDC is open to students, faculty, staff, and official University visitors daily throughout the summer except for University-observed holidays. WDC summer hours of operation are:
- Breakfast: 6:30–8:30 a.m.
- Lunch: 11 a.m.–1:30 p.m.
- Dinner: 4:30–7 p.m.
Marketplace at Linkins is closed for the summer and will reopen in late July.
To accommodate Special Olympics Illinois visitors, Marketplace at Linkins will open June 7-9 to provide meal services. WDC will close June 7-9 and reopen Monday, June 10.

Bone Student Center
While McAlister’s Deli is closed for renovations this summer, the Bone Student Center provides three dining options. On the second floor, Timbers Grille offers burgers, chicken tenders, fries, salads, milkshakes, and more. On the first floor, Starbucks serves its signature coffee, and The Landing offers grab-and-go items and fast-fired pizza. These venues are open to students, faculty, staff, University visitors, and the public. Below are the adjusted summer hours of operation:
- Timbers Grille: 11 a.m.–2 p.m., Monday through Friday
- Starbucks: 7:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday
- The Landing: 9 a.m.–3 p.m. (only on Preview days)

All venues will resume their regular hours in August, with McAlister’s Deli and Qdoba reopening during that same month.
