The College of Applied Science and Technology (CAST) at Illinois State University has spent the first half of the fall 2024 semester celebrating its CAST Hall of Fame inductees through a seven-part podcast series, ahead of the 2024 induction ceremony.
Hosted through The PodCAST, this series highlighted seven CAST alumni and friends of the college who are innovative thought leaders in their respective fields and who have demonstrated outstanding performance in their professions. The PodCAST interviews focused on the inductees’ career journeys, turning points, roadblocks, and lessons learned on the road to success.
Each of the inductees were selected from the different academic departments under the College of Applied Science and Technology namely, Agriculture, Kinesiology and Recreation, Military Sciences, Information Technology, Technology, Health Sciences, Family and Consumer Sciences, and Criminal Justice Sciences.
Inductees that were featured in the episodes include: Julie Hewitt (AGR), Dan Butterly (KNR), John Cross (MSC), Leland Roling (IT), J.R. Peterson (TEC), Cathy Ferguson (HSC), and Shelley Lee (FCS).
These notable alumni will be inducted into the College of Applied Science and Technology’s Hall of Fame Thursday, October 17. The event, officially known as the CAST Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, will be commemorated at the Aaron Leetch Stadium Club.
CAST would like to extend a huge thank you to all who participated in the seven-part series.
