The Dean of Students Office will hold open forums to gather campus input on plans for a Multicultural Center at Illinois State University. A task force of students, faculty, and staff are currently working to investigate best practices for centers at other universities as well as identify needs for a center at Illinois State.
Open forums will allow the University community to provide ideas for what should be housed in an Illinois State Multicultural Center. Forums will be:
October 23, 7-8 p.m. in Old Main Room of the Bone Student Center
*October 30, 11:15 a.m.-noon in room Redbird A of the Marriott Hotel and Conference Center
*October 31, 2:45-3:30 p.m. in room Redbird A of the Marriott Hotel and Conference Center
*The forums on October 30-31 will be held as part of the Culturally Responsive Campus Community Conference. Participants of those forums must register for the conference to attend. Registration can be found at the CRCC website.
Those with questions on the Illinois State Multicultural Center Task Force can contact the Diversity Advocacy Office at (309) 438-2008.
