The State Library recently brokered a deal with EBSCO Information Sources to provide access to an expansive list of electronic resources to all residents of Illinois. Resources included in this agreement include eBooks, reference sources, test preparation materials, materials to support DIY activities, academic journal article databases, business information, and more! A recent press release documents the entire list of available resources. Importantly, these databases authenticate via geolocation, which means everyone who walks through Milner Library’s doors or accesses these resources from anywhere in the state will have access—no login needed!
At Milner Library, we are particularly interested in highlighting those resources that engage issues of inclusion, diversity, equity, and access. If you are also interested in these topics, we encourage you to explore resources such as:
- Diversity & Ethnic Studies eBook Collection
- Ethnic Diversity Source
- Family & Society Studies Worldwide
- LGBTQ+ Source
- Urban Studies Abstracts
- Women’s Studies International
Milner Library is committed to curating collections that meet the needs of the University community. If you encounter problems accessing these materials, please reach out to liberesourceshelp@ilstu.edu. To discuss the library’s strategy for building and sustaining collections, please reach out to Dr. Rachel Scott, associate dean for Information Assets. If the library does not currently offer resources that you need, you may also request the purchase of specific materials for the library’s collections via our online form.
