Over the past month six light poles have been installed along with a new and improved scoreboard at Adelaide Street Field. All of these additions are in preparation for the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament.

Head football coach Brock Spack has reason to eagerly anticipate the upcoming football season. He and his staff brought to Illinois State the top recruiting class in the nation in the Football Championship Subdivision.
The 10th annual Redbird Fan Fair is August 16 on the Illinois State campus, featuring a Redbird football scrimmage, carnival games, and music. The fair will be from 2 to 4 p.m. at “The Plaza” between Redbird Arena and Horton Field House.
Some new faces will be at the helm of Redbird Athletics programs this fall, with the hiring of head coaches Jeff Bovee (cross country/track and field), Bo Durkac (baseball) and Maja Kovacek (women’s tennis).
With the fall athletics season quickly approaching, fans can purchase single-game and season tickets for Redbird football and volleyball for the 2014 season.
Bo Durkac was named the Illinois State head baseball coach June 19. Durkac has 12 years of coaching experience, including five seasons with the Redbirds.
