The Friends of the Arts’ Postcard Art PLUS: Creating Inside the Box, the art exhibit and auction held April 26 in University Galleries, attracted 90 attendees and nearly 200 pieces of art and raised $9,000 for grants and scholarships for College of Fine Arts students. Gallery Gallop, other art events scheduled for May
The final Friends of the Arts Gallery Gallop of the school year will be held Wednesday, May 7, at University Galleries. The tour will be led by University Galleries Director Barry Blinderman and will focus on the 2014 Student Annual, a juried exhibition featuring the work of Illinois State students. The tour is free and open to the public, and will run from 5:30-6:15 p.m. The Student Annual opens April 15 and closes May 11.

2014 Student Annual to open April 15 with reception
The 2014 Student Annual will open April 15 and run until May 11 at University Galleries. The opening reception is scheduled for 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 15.
Fine arts complex project begins
The initial planning for the fine arts complex project has begun. Additional meetings were held February 18–19, and more are scheduled for March 18–19.
