Dr. Ali Riaz establishes award for exceptional graduate students

Gifts that support Illinois State University faculty and staff often continue giving beyond the initial investment. Such was the case with the professorship that would later inspire the newly endowed Ali Riaz Graduate Student Award in the Department of Politics and Government, an annual award that will recognize the best student in Comparative Politics and International Relations.

Associate Professor Tom McClure publishes analysis of ABA paralegal education programs

Department of Politics and Government Associate Professor Tom McClure and a co-author have published the first paper to empirically examine paralegal programs seeking approval from the American Bar Association (ABA). ABA approval is considered the “gold standard” of paralegal education. Less than a third of the 900 educational institutions offering this field of study have attained the coveted ABA designation.
