America’s Promise School Project held its third annual School Nurse Summer Institute June 6 in the Nursing Simulation Laboratory at Illinois State University. There were 39 participants from partnership organizations in attendance.

H. Catherine Miller appointed acting dean for Mennonite College of Nursing
H. Catherine Miller has been appointed acting dean of Mennonite College of Nursing as of July 1. Dean Janet Krejci will be serving as interim provost as of July 1, until the next provost is appointed.

A longtime friend and colleague of Mennonite College of Nursing (MCN), Diane Mather, is retiring from Milner Library at Illinois State University.
E. Burton Mercier Alumni Service Award: Kathleen Hogan
Kathleen Hogan served Mennonite College of Nursing for 30 years. Under her direction, the college became the first single-purpose, upper-division bachelor of science nursing program in the country accredited by the National League for Nursing.

Janet Krejci, dean of the Mennonite College of Nursing (MCN), has been named interim provost and vice president for Academic Affairs at Illinois State University, effective July 1.

Nursing students gathered April 10 at the Alumni Center looking very professional, as if they were getting ready for a job interview. As they were waiting for everyone to arrive, they chatted about their resumes and where they were going to apply for jobs.

Jenkins, Valerio receive Nurse Educator Fellowships
