Explore ways to use your students’ emotions to promote engagement and productive learning. Assess different options for working with students to create a classroom technology policy.
Week of July 13: Understanding Intellectual Property, ReggieNet, Building Community
Look at effective ways to protect your intellectual property. Examine tools to gauge your students learning with ReggieNet. Come up with techniques to build community within the classroom.
Week of July 6: Quality Matters and Integrating Curriculum Development, Assessment, and Planning
Learn how to use the Quality Matters rubric in your online courses. Look at ways to use development, assessment, and planning together to promote collaboration.
Week of June 29: Excel, Clickers, Select Survey
Assess the basic features of Microsoft Excel. Inspect ways to use Clickers with PowerPoint to engage students with the material. Grasp the fundamental aspects of Select Survey.
Week of June 22: Going Global With Your Course, Community Partners Lunch and Learn
Make your students more globally engaged. Find community partners to help your students learn through service.
Course Design Workshops start May 18
Course Design Workshops, offered as part of the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology’s Summer Institute, help you build or rebuild a course. Experience one of these multiple-day workshops with a cohort of colleagues who can help generate ideas and take your teaching in new directions.
Week of April 13: Rediscover the Document Camera, Global Citizenship and Critical Literacy
Uncover new uses of the technology in almost every classroom on campus. Also, investigate a critical approach for global citizenship education. These and other workshops are happening this week at the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology.
