While there have been hundreds of registered student organizations in ISU’s history, only one club focused on women and their love for their chosen major, physical education. Researchers using the Women’s Physical Education Majors (PEM) Club collection can see how this club became a campus staple through its many sponsored co-ed activities and events.
Summer school is an old tradition on campus. As the education profession grew, so did the curriculum and the student body at Illinois State Normal University.

The Dr. Jo Ann Rayfield Archives, housed in a large warehouse a few miles from campus, holds a trove of historical artifacts that paint a vivid portrait of the University since its founding.
The library catalog will be offline and unavailable starting at 5 p.m. Friday, June 12. It is expected to be back up on Monday, June 15.
