There’s no quit in Caesar Garduno ’21. The journey hasn’t always been easy, but he stayed on task and earned his bachelor’s degree in economics with minors in sociology and psychology from Illinois State University at the age of 26.

Launching pad: Physics graduate turns undergraduate research into NASA internship
Alex Plumadore ’21 is spending the summer as a contractor intern with the NASA Ames Research Center, working on a project looking at how nitrogen in the atmosphere interacts with a spacecraft during its re-entry to Earth.

Performers happy to be back onstage at Illinois Shakespeare Festival
The Illinois Shakespeare Festival, a staple in Bloomington-Normal and significant partner to Illinois State University, had to cancel its 2020 season. The festival is back with shows—Measure for Measure, The Winter’s Tale, and the Theatre for Young Audience’s production of A Summer’s Winter Tale—that started the first week of July and run through August 7.
