Illinois State University will hold its annual Veterans Day ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 11, at 12 p.m. in the Bone Student Center Prairie Room North. The event is free and open to the public.

Vic Baldinger, co-owner and president of Energy Concepts & Solutions will be the keynote speaker during Illinois State University’s Entrepreneurship Day events on Friday, Nov. 12, from 8 a.m. to 2:40 p.m. in the Bone Student Center Old Main Room.

Les Liaisons Dangereuses, a play adapted by Christopher Hampton from a 1782 novel by Pierre Choderlose de Laclos, will open at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11, in the Center for the Performing Arts.

University of Louisville Professor of Sport Administration Mary Hums, will present “Using Sport for Social Change: Bottom Lines and Higher Callings” on Thursday, Nov. 11, at 7 p.m. in the Bone Student Center Old Main Room.

The Center for Emerging Entrepreneurs will present the free seminar “Getting to Know… Specs Around Town and Churchill’s Formal Wear/ Crazy about Scrubs” on Thursday, Nov. 18, at 6:30 p.m. in the Central Illinois Regional Airport terminal’s second floor conference room A/B.

Susan Sprecher will deliver the Illinois State University Distinguished Professorship Lecture at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 2, in the Bone Student Center Prairie Room, with a reception immediately following.

Cellist Anthony Arnone will perform a free concert on Tuesday, Nov. 2, at 7:30 p.m. in Illinois State University’s Kemp Recital Hall.

A class of Illinois State University students will be polling local voters on Election Day about candidate choices and opinions on hot-button issues.

“Make Movies Not War – The Cold Cinema War in Germany” will be the subject of a presentation by filmmaker Jörg Foth on Wednesday, Nov. 3, from 12-1 p.m. in the Bone Student Center Third Floor East Lounge. The event is free and open to the public.
