Julie (Williams) McMillin ’01 is a role model for every retail dietitian in the country.
She was named Retail Dietitian of the Year for 2015 by the Retail Dietitians Business Alliance. The award recognizes her leadership in utilizing business skills and industry knowledge to impact consumer behavior change through the retail sector.
From her start working part-time in a Hy-Vee deli and kitchen, McMillin has worked her way up the corporate ladder. She is an assistant vice president of the chain, supporting 228 dietitians, three retail dietetic supervisors and one corporate dietitian.
