Illinois State University has received national recognition for being military friendly for 2020–2021. Illinois State has won the prestigious silver award designation from VIQTORY and continues to be committed to serving student veterans.
The silver classification for Military Friendly Schools requires that a school score within 20 percent of the top 10 ranking schools within the same category. Only a select few institutions receive this standing. The 2020–2021 Military Friendly Schools list recognizes Illinois State for supporting student veterans’ education.
Illinois State offers student veterans several educational and social resources including academic advising, the Veterans and Military Services office, financial support services, and student involvement opportunities including the veterans fraternity, Omega Delta Sigma (ODS).
