Members of the Illinois State University community can get in touch with their inner “geek” during this year’s inaugural ReggieCon events.
Sponsored by the Office of Enrollment Management and Academic Services, ReggieCon will be a series of five virtual events throughout the fall 2020 and spring 2021 semesters. Each event will consist of a panel of experts in comic and popular media and all will focus on issues of race and diversity. Panel topics will align with national recognition months such as Black History Month and Hispanic Heritage Month. Dr. Scott Jordan, chair of the Department of Psychology, will be coordinating panel topics and guest panelists this year.
The first panel is in recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15-October 15) and will focus on the graphic novel Daytripper by Gabriel Ba and Fabio Moon.

Future ReggieCon panels will focus on LGBTQ History Month in October, Black History Month in February, Diversity Month in April, and Asian Pacific Heritage Month in May 2021. Dates and panel topics are being finalized and will be announced once available.
