The Multicultural Center’s 2021 New Student Induction Ceremony will be from 5-7 p.m., Saturday, August 14, in the Brown Ballroom of the Bone Student Center at Illinois State University.

“This event allows the campus to surround our culturally dynamic students with affirmation about their identities and their futures here at ISU,” said Director of the Multicultural Center Dr. Christa Platt. “We want our students to know and see faculty, staff, and peers that see them, value them, and want to see them live out their identities in confidence,”

A major component of the event will be creating the “Circle of Support” that surrounds the students that afternoon.  It will be a symbolic representation of the ways people at Illinois State surround, empower, and cover them throughout their journey at ISU.
