Design Thinking for Student Success is free and open to the campus community. Those interested in attending can email Associate Professor of Graphic Design Archana Shekara at ashekar@ilstu.edu or Associate Professor of Creative Technologies Kristin Carlson at kacarl1@ilstu.edu.

Carlson and Shekara co-taught the spring course Design Thinking, which focused on student wellness and success this semester. “Throughout the class, students have critically analyzed their opportunities, privileges, and biases,” said Shekara, who noted students proposed projects and equitable solutions based on human-centered design methodology. “I believe this course has helped us to better understand our student body and provide new answers towards goals and action,” she added.
