The EDI Leaders Circle will hold the 2022 Fall Kick-off from 2-4 p.m. September 9 on Zoom.

The Circle is comprised of faculty and staff from the the nearly 40 department, college, and division-level committees and councils committed to advancing equity, diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism efforts at Illinois State.

Register for the event by September 7, 2022.

“This is an opportunity for EDI leaders to learn from each other and explore innovative approaches that advance equity and inclusion based on promising practices,” said Dr. Doris Houston from the Office of the President, which is sponsoring the kick-off event.

The event will offer several innovative tools and strategies to help EDIA groups move forward. Participants will have an opportunity to join “Working Pods” comprised of colleagues from other units and departments with similar interests and goals.

“Whether your committee has extensive experience or you’re just getting started with your group, you will take something away from this event,” said Mayuko Nakamura of the Center for Integrated Professional Development, who is coordinating the event. Leaders who participated in the summer EDI reading challenge will also be recognized.
